FEATURES AND CHANGES
- 🎭 Roles
Introducing Roles, a new way to keep communication aligned with responsibilities. Take on a Role such as Shift Leader, Dispatcher, or Operations Lead, and your current Role will be visible in all your chat messages. Teamwire automatically keeps your inbox up to date by adding you to conversations linked to your active Roles and removing you when those Roles change. Whether you're working shifts, rotating responsibilities, or joining temporary teams, Roles ensure you're always in the right conversations at the right time.
Note: Roles are available only if enabled by your organisation's administrator. - 📋 More Flexible Lists
Lists make it faster and easier to create group chats by letting you add multiple members at once. With this release, Lists become even more flexible:- Rename your Lists at any time to keep them organised and up to date.
- Add Enterprise Directory contacts (users outside your organisation) to your Lists.
These improvements help you organise recurring groups more efficiently and create conversations even faster.
- 📋 Circles, Roles and bots can now be added to your Lists
From now on, you can add entire Circles, Roles and Bots to your personal Lists, not just individual members. This makes it much easier to prepare for group conversations when you regularly work with the same teams or departments. By grouping Circles, Roles and bots into your own Lists, creating a group chat becomes faster and more convenient: simply select the List and all its members will be added at once. No need to select Circles, Roles and Bots one by one.
A small change that saves time and helps you stay organised when collaborating with recurring groups. - 📥 Improved chat filters in the Inbox
The Inbox now comes with a refreshed design for chat filters. In addition, Favourites, Unread, and Archived tabs now display a counter showing how many unread chats are inside each section. The result is a clearer, more informative Inbox that helps you stay on top of your conversations at a glance. - 👥 Clearer visibility of Lists and Circles
The Directory now shows the number of members in each List and Circle directly in the overview, making it easier to understand group size at a glance, without opening each one individually. This improvement also applies when adding members to a group chat: Lists and Circles now display their member count in the selection flow, helping you quickly identify, choose, and add the right group with more confidence.
A small enhancement that reduces friction and makes working with groups faster and more intuitive. - 🔎 Improved member management in group chats
The Members section in group chat settings has been enhanced to make managing large chats easier and more efficient.
You'll now find a search bar, allowing you to quickly search for specific users or Circles within the chat, especially useful when you need to confirm whether someone is already part of a large group.
In addition, new member filters make it easier to navigate between All, Admins, Circles, and Bots, providing a clearer and more pleasant browsing experience.
Finally, the Members section now shows the total of members in the chat. If a user is added both individually and through a Circle, they are counted only once, giving you a more accurate overview of the actual number of participants. - 💼 "Role" has been renamed to "Job title"
As part of a refreshed design of the user profile section, the field previously called "Role" has been renamed to "Job title". This better reflects the information it represents and helps avoid confusion with administrative roles. No functionality has changed, just clearer wording for a better experience. - 📍 Clearer Live Location information
We've improved the design of ended Live Location messages to make their timing information easier to understand. Previously, the timestamp displayed in the message could be confused with the moment the Live Location ended, when in fact it represented the time the Live Location was originally shared. The new design provides a clearer distinction between the start and end of shared Live Locations. This avoids confusion when interpreting the location history. - 🎨 Updated App & Tray Icons
We've refreshed the Teamwire app and tray icons on Windows and Linux. The previous icons included additional margins around the logo, making them appear smaller compared to the icons on other platforms. The updated design makes better use of the available space, resulting in a more consistent and recognisable Teamwire appearance across all devices. - A lot more subtle updates for a more reliable and pleasant experience
FIXES
- Opening the emoji picker for the first time could take significantly longer than expected. This has been improved.
- We've improved conversation synchronisation in scenarios involving certain system events, helping chats appear more reliably across devices.
- When Send with Enter was disabled, links pasted into multi-line messages could disappear when the message was sent using the send button.
- In some cases, attention messages containing an attachment were not displayed correctly when exporting the chat history.

- 🎉 Faster Reaction Insights

This improvement gives you immediate visibility into engagement, making it even faster to understand responses and follow up when needed. - A lot more subtle updates for a more reliable and pleasant experience
FIXES
- In a rare edge case, after inserting multi-line content, the cursor could jump to the next line by clicking a blank line.
- An edge case where a chat could remain unread after being fully read.

FEATURES AND CHANGES
- 📍 "what3words" locations
We now support clickable what3words.com links in Teamwire chats!
what3words divides the world into a grid of 3 metre squares, each identified by a unique combination of three words. This makes it easy to communicate precise locations without relying on long latitude/longitude coordinates.
From this release, when someone shares a what3words address in a chat, Teamwire will automatically detect it and turn into a link, which will lead to your external browser on the "what3words" map. This makes sharing and navigating to exact locations faster, easier, and less error-prone. - 👤 Clearer Profile editing with LDAP
Profile info provided by the LDAP sync cannot be edited by users. From now on, these data fields are visually labelled as non-editable in the "Edit Profile" section, with a banner explaining that they are managed centrally by their organisation. - A lot more subtle updates for a more reliable and pleasant experience
FIXES
- Polls with very long questions failed when being sent. Now, when you exceed the character limit, the app shows an error and disables the create button so the user can adjust the content accordingly.
- When public circles were added to a group chat between two organisations, they incorrectly appeared in the other organisation's directory. This has been corrected. Public circles from other organisations will now correctly appear in the "Chat Members" section only and are no longer displayed in the general directory.

FEATURES AND CHANGES
- 🔔 The @Mentions feature is now a reality
Address other users directly in a group chat, grab their attention or loop them in an ongoing conversation. Just type @ and then select a user from the list of chat members. Alternatively, you can use "@all" to get the attention of all the members in the chat. If the mentioned user has muted the chat, the setting will be ignored and they will receive a notification. - ☑️ New "All members" shortcut to select members for voice and video calls
You can now quickly add everyone to a group video or voice call by selecting the new All members option, instead of checking each participant one by one. This option is only available when the group size does not exceed the voice/video call participants limit. - 🪄 Mark all chats as read
Too many chats with unread messages when coming back from vacations? Use the new button "Mark all as read" to clean up your inbox quickly. This option will appear on the Unread and Archived tab when you have two or more chats with unread messages there. - ✨ Improved Drafts: Now easier to spot and send
We've upgraded the Drafts feature you already know! Now, any chat with an unsent message will be moved to the top of your inbox and highlighted with a blue "Draft" label - making it easier than ever to find and finished messages. Use it to pick up where you left off or as a lightweight way to schedule messages for later. - 📣 Better notification experience
We've refreshed the design of push notifications to make them clearer and easier to act on. - 💬 We have implemented a mechanism that prevents sending duplicate messages during unstable network conditions or connection interferences.
- ⌨️ The Enter key and the Enter key on the numeric keypad (numpad) now work the same way: pressing either will send your message. Previously, pressing the numpad Enter would insert a new line instead of sending the message. If you want to add a new line to your message, use Shift + Enter.
- A lot more subtle updates for a more reliable and pleasant experience
FIXES
- In some cases it was not possible to open a file from the shared media section inside a chat
- We've improved how search results are displayed, so even with many results they now load more smoothly without flickering.
- We've adjusted a German translation related to the feature "Minimise always to system tray".
